Over at Stainless Steel Droppings, there's a fantastic survey of 2013 in book covers, showcasing just what a wealth of great art and design we saw over the past year.
A lot of the artists on Carl V. Anderson's list are probably among your favorites already — you'd have to be living on a moonbase not to have noticed the art of Sparth, Stephan Martiniere, Daniel Dociu, Dan Dos Santos and John Picacio at this point. But I hadn't realized how many great covers lately have come from John Harris, who did the covers for John Scalzi's Human Division and Ben Bova's recent space exploitation books, plus Ann Leckie's Ancillary Justice.
