Someone has created an entirely silent 38 minute fan storyboard for an X-Men movie. To put it simply, this is art. And now we want you guys to help bring it across the finish line.

Created by Sam Wan, this X-Men 3D storyboard is a rough cut for a much bigger fan film. Officially titled X-MEN: X-Cutioner's Song, this 39 minute silent storyboard has just about every mutant you can shake a stick at. In excellent versions of the classic uniforms, and showcasing their comic book powers. The whole things starts at a celebratory peace concert (hosted by Metallica, naturally).

Professor X is on the stage with Metallica and then our beloved X-Men are brutally attacked by Cable! But maybe that's not Cable after all? WATCH:

We call upon you, internet, to score this epic mutant story. Please use your powers for good and find away to get X-MEN X-Cutioner's Song voices, sound effects and music! This epic must not live forever with just silent cries of mutant agony. However, the silent screams are pretty fantastic.

The Singularity is here, and it's available on iOS and Android for free.

It's a sort-of game called Polyfauna, designed by Radiohead and the design studio Universal Everything. You traverse a series of procedurally-generated landscapes, using your device's gyroscopes to alter direction and altitude. Swiping a finger across the screen creates simple, vaguely prokaryotic-looking life forms. When you're ready to move on, you can navigate to a flashing red transition point and you'll be teleported to another zone with a different environmental theme.

I've only played with it for a little bit, but even on a phone the experience is deeply immersive (headphones are a must). The Stanley Donwood-inspired landscapes are both sere and beautiful, with lots of weird ambient effects. It really does have the eerie quality of Gibson's cyberspace. And after a while, you start to wonder if you're really all alone in there...

Wie nennt man das nochmal, wenn ein halbes Jahr nach Snowden diese Dame mit genau einem Gesichtsausdruck in einer „love story of epic, epic, epic proportion“ aka einem Remake der 1956er Verfilmung von Orwells 1984 die Hauptrolle spielt? Ist das nur Real Life Idiocracy oder schon die Apokalypse?

Man kann sich direkt vorstellen, wie sie in Hollywood beim Brainstorming so beisammen sitzen und rummeinen: „Ey, dystopische SciFi ist total angesagt grade und da war doch dieser Snowden, lasst uns eine romantische Version von 1984 filmen und die Tante aus Twilight besetzen, wird der Burner!“ Oh, the humanity.

Equals is an adaptation of the 1956 film 1984, which itself was based on George Orwell’s classic novel about rebellion in a futuristic society.
