Sweet mercy this Vine is HORRIFYING

At first glance, this heap of black fibers kind of reminded me of the iron filings we used to play with back in primary school, so it was with unguarded curiosity that I found myself watching Vine user paglo prod at the mass with his finger. Nothing could prepare me for what happened next. Just watch.

In short: he unleashed a nightmare horde of long-legged arachnids. My best guess on an ID is something from the order Opiliones (commonly known as Harvestment, or "Daddy Long Legs"), which means they're not actually spiders. As for the grouping behavior, an entry on Opiliones at Henderson State University has this to say:

Harvestmen often will aggregate into groups in which the legs seem to be twined together and the bodies close to each other. When disturbed, a single harvestman typically pushes its body up and down in a slow, vibrating motion. The large groups will perform the same behavior if disturbed, so the pulsating mass of harvestmen may be an even greater deterrent to potential predators.

The caption on paglo's Vine translates to: "Super living public hair of Bravo Valley," but we're pretty sure público is an auto-correction of púbico, which actually would make the caption "Super living pubic hair of Bravo Valley." This makes more sense, if you think about it, which you really shouldn't if you happen to enjoy restful sleep. Glutton for punishment? Here's more:
