Die Wellcome Library hat über 100.000 Bilder aus ihrer Sammlung medizinischer Fotos und Scans unter Creative Commons online gestellt. Leider ist die Website selbst arschlangsam und nahezu unbrauchbar, ich hab’ mich aber trotzdem durch die Anatomie-Modelle dort durchgeklickt und meine Favorites runtergeladen, hier das Set auf Flickr. The Wellcome Library, one of the world’s leading collections of medical history, has announced that over 100,000 pictures from its archives are now freely available from its Images pages online.
In a move similar to the British Library’s recent announcement that it had uploaded over a million images to Flickr, the Wellcome Library has now also decided that a large selection of its images – dedicated to the history of health and medicine – should be made free for use under the Creative Commons Attribution licence.
