Is Cyborg joining Batman Vs. Superman? Is Capaldi leaving Doctor Who? S

It's all crazy rumors all the time. Batman Vs. Superman may be adding another Justice League member, while Peter Capaldi's Doctor may have an expiration date already. Josh McDermitt talks what's next for Eugene, Abraham, and Rosita. Plus, the first look at Agents of SHIELD's newest agent. Spoilers now!

Batman Vs. Superman

According to the latest rumor over at Latino Review, the Man of Steel sequel may be looking to add Victor Stone (aka Cyborg) in a small part. Their report specifies that the film's looking for a physically fit actor in his 20s for a part that will recur in future films. The rumor mill's gone so far as to say that Zack Snyder met with Michael B. Jordan for the part — but the fact that Jordan's already attached to the Fantastic Four reboot makes his actual involvement seem highly unlikely. But if Snyder did meet with Jordan, that at least gives some indication of what they're looking for.

Nerdist.com points out that other circumstantial evidence could link this part to Cyborg: They've already filmed a football game for the movie, and Stone was a football player before becoming Cyborg. Plus, DC's made Cyborg a founding Justice League member in the New 52, so they could be setting up for a Justice League film in Batman Vs. Superman. [Nerdist, Ain't It Cool]

Guardians of the Galaxy

We finally got a taste of Rocket Raccoon's voice, but we've yet to hear Vin Diesel's take on the infamous catchphrase "I am Groot." Director James Gunn says that none of their temporary versions were as good as Diesel's eventual take:

All of the 'I am Groots' that were earlier voices didn't sound very good at all, they sounded like sh*t. It just didn't really work. Then Vin came in and in one day, laid down all these 'I am Groot' tracks, and he's a perfectionist. He made me explain to him with every 'I am Groot,' exactly what he was saying.....Then Vin would sit there and he would do it and he would it again and again and again, and his voice is so rich and so beautiful and he really opened up and was this character. It was amazing when we first put that voice in there how much the character changed and how much he influenced the character.

He also talked a bit about the motion capture they've been doing for their characters:

We're doing some mo-cap. What we're doing basically with Bradley, and my brother Shaun, and with Vin Diesel, we film everything that they do so we can use it as a reference. So while they're recording in front of a microphone we'll have Vin acting out everything and doing all the acting and we'll record that.

Doctor Who

Here's a rumor that needs a fairly large grain of salt: The Mirror's claiming that Peter Capaldi's run as the Doctor will only last one season, similar to Christopher Eccleston's. It goes further to say that he was selected as a "transitional" Doctor, paving the way for a "radical" new direction. Whether that direction is for a non-white or non-male Doctor and/or the end of Moffat's run in charge of the show, no one's quite sure.

On the other hand, the BBC release about Danny, the possible new companion, Steven Moffat is quoted as saying "Peter Capaldi's first series of Doctor Who." The whole "first" thing seems to contradict the rumor that it's Capaldi's "only" season. [blastr, C0mic Book.com]

The Walking Dead

Josh McDermitt (Eugene) said that future episodes would reveal more about Eugene, Abraham, and Rosita, and might show differences from their comics counterparts:

The really cool thing about when you're playing a comic book character is that no one knows what he sounds like. We see that Eugene speaks very quickly and he is very knowledgeable, with an enormous brain, but he lacks emotion; it's dry and emotionless. We haven't really jumped into these characters enough yet to really look at the differences in what we're going to see in the show as it compares to the comics. I know that's coming, but, as we get further in this season, we're going to see these characters come to life a little more and jump into their backstories, and that's where we're going to see the differences. But they're going to be pretty close to what they were in the comics.

He also hinted that the expansion of the group past Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita may start exposing Eugene's lies:

Eugene claims to know who caused the outbreak. How much does he really know about this?

We're introduced to these characters as they're in the middle of their mission. They've been driving halfway across the country to get Eugene to D.C., and I don't think they're going to stop. It's going to take a lot for them to not make their way to D.C. Eugene is always the smartest guy in the room, but he also doesn't want a lot of people in that room because you never know who could be smarter. And when people start asking questions, then maybe some of the things that Eugene has been saying start to unravel a bit. So it's going to be interesting to see how Eugene is able to keep the group on the road and away from other people so people don't start asking questions. Ultimately, people will find out the truth.

One of the things that they're likely to find about is his satellite phone, which we know from the comics doesn't work. How did Eugene convince everyone about that and his ties to the government?

When Glenn asks what's going on with their trip to D.C., Eugene replies that it's classified. That's government speak. Abraham was a soldier and he gets that there are people above him who have more knowledge than he does. Eugene steps away and says, "I need to discuss this with the people back in Washington," and he just hopes that Abraham doesn't walk over and have to hear him. Eugene is trying to keep everyone at bay with the military speak. There's a definite hierarchy in the military and Eugene is definitely playing that up with Abraham.

Here's Norman Reedus' short description of the mindset of the characters in these episodes:

Everyone's assuming everyone is dead at this point, and everyone is back to their funeral point that they started the show at. So all the security we've had until this point is gone, so we're back on the run again for our lives. Everyone's at these horrible places in their heads; there's not safety, no friends anymore, and none of that family that we worked so hard to create. Everyone is just on the run for their lives at this point, and nobody's assumed that anybody has made it.

Star-Crossed

Aimee Teegarden hinted that there's more to the Atrians than meets the eye:

[Emery] really wants to know more about the Atrians and to understand what they're all about. As the season goes on, she dives deeper into Atrian culture, and the writers definitely give you a lot about the Atrian mythology — who they are, why they are. Was it really a crash landing, or did they arrive on Earth for some other purpose.

So there's quite a bit we don't know about them then?

You have no idea.

Malese Jow described Julia's season arc this way:

She immediately jumps into the school world with Emery, which is awesome because they both had gone through so much growing up that they're finally getting able to be girly and just live a normal life. So it's kind of backwards in that way. It's very fun getting to see them go to school and enjoy all that. But since Julia was thrown into the whole Atrian world so fast, as far as being associated with the Cyper, another part of her arc is fighting to keep that secret because people's suspicions start rising. It gets a little rocky for Julia in the Atrian-Cyper world. Also toward the end of her arc, she falls in love. She really blossoms, and I really think people are going to fall in love with her the way I have.

She also talked a little bit about the on-going side-effects Julia will experience from the Cyper:

We saw Roman's arm glowing whenever he used the Cyper, so the same thing kind of happens with the person who received it. People are going to have to tune in and see what else happens because the blue kind of spreads, the glowing blue, which isn't a good thing for a human trying to keep a secret for an Atrian.
