A Watchman star could have a key role in Batman Vs. Superman. Game of Thrones could be delving deep into A Dance With Dragons for one character. And did a non sequitur in the Coven finale actually hint to the plot of American Horror Story's next season? Plus, the Supernatural spinoff's character descriptions. Spoilers now!

Batman Vs. Superman

Matthew Goode's back in the spotlight for a role in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot sequel. He was previously considered way back when they were casting Superman for Man of Steel. Then he was one of the rumored Batman actors. Now he's reportedly back in talks for some role in Batman Vs. Superman, although no one knows for what. [Comic Book Movie]

Star Wars

We've heard reports that Disney is throwing out large chunks of the continuity from the books and comics for its new movies. We've also heard that Luke Skywalker's wife Mara Jade could appear in the animated show Rebels and then cross over to Episode VII. Now there's another rumor, that has a very different spin.

This time, unnamed sources claim that the characters in the new continuity will be based on the old Extended Universe characters, but with different names. Except Luke Skywalker's wife, who's reportedly been in George Lucas' mind since Return of the Jedi. Confusingly, the rumor claims that the Solo and Skywalker children and Luke's wife will be based pretty closely on their EU counterparts, as will a bunch of background characters.

The same source also claims that Michael Arndt wasn't kicked off Star Wars, but that he's now working on the Episode VIII script. As always, take this all with a grain of salt. [The Force.net]

Thor 3

Marvel announced that producer Craig Kyle is co-writing the third Asgardian installment with past scribe Christopher Yost. And there's some speculation that this is the film Marvel will choose to put out on May 6, 2016 to compete against Batman Vs. Superman. Says Marvel pres Kevin Feige:

I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years. His creative instincts have helped shape 'Thor' and 'Thor: The Dark World' at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor's adventure.

Both Kyle and Yost had teased Ragnarok, the final battle of the Norse gods, as the storyline for the third movie — and now that they're in charge of

Thor 3's script, people are already speculating that we'll be seeing that in May of 2016. This would make the Fire Demons of Muspelheim, led by Surtur, the main villains of the third movie. (For what it's worth, both Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth have voted for this storyline as well.) [Marvel via Comic Book Movie]

Game of Thrones

Actor Grahame Fox has been cast as Kenning in an upcoming episode directed by Alex Graves. His casting seems to indicate that the next season's going to go into A Dance With Dragons for Theon's storyline this season. In the books, Ralf Kenning is an Ironborn captain stationed at Moat Cailin — but perhaps the show'll have Theon (or his sister Yara) meeting Kenning sooner and in a different place. Arrow

Colton Haynes says that Roy's got the ability to cause some major problems:

Roy could possibly ruin a lot of relationships that the Arrow has built with a few characters, and he could also ruin a lot of relationships that he's built for himself.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim hinted that we'd soon hear the name Deathstroke:

I'll tell you this. The name Deathstroke will be uttered soon, but the first time it happens it will not be uttered by Stephen.

While Guggenheim was unwilling to say whether we'd see Barry Allen return this season, he did hint that there are big DC continuity moments coming up:

I will say that we have a crazy number of DC – it's funny, there's stuff that will be happening in the middle of this season that we haven't announced yet, that if people think we've done a lot of DC Universe stuff now it pales in comparison to where we're headed. It's really going to be kicked up to a ridiculous degree.

There's two episodes in a row, where we're keeping the titles secret, because both episodes will just blow people's minds.

He also said that we'd be seeing the return of romance:

We have some romance coming up, we've had a little bit in season 2. It wasn't romance per se that we were trying to steer away from, it was the way we were doing romance. I think if you look at all the "romantic" storylines last year, we sort of felt like they were siloed off from the main action of the episodes. Whenever we went to a "Thea and Roy" or "Laurel and Tommy," their romantic storylines felt separated out from everything else that was going on in the episode with the Arrow and everything else. One of our big goals in season 2 was to avoid those sort of separated off storylines.

The result is that maybe we haven't had quite as much romance, but each episode has been better for not feeling so schizophrenic. It's been better for not feeling like we were suddenly a different show when we got to the C story.

But for people that are fans of romance on the show, there is quite a bit of romance coming their way. The difference between this year and last year is that the romance will be integrated into the body of the series.

Dylan Neal previewed Dr. Ivo's return in episode 2.15, "The Promise":

Now it's all gloves off and he's going to go out to get [Sarah]. He feels like he's been betrayed and the dark side of Ivo will come to the fore now. . . . This is a big, big, culmination of where Ivo's been going all season. It sets Slade on his future journey and his relationship with Oliver. Really, it's really a big, big moment for the show in general.

American Horror Story

Hollywood Life's theorizing that Myrtle's last word on Coven ("Balenciaga!") might be a hint to the next season's plot. We already know that the next season will involve the 1950s and Germans. The possible connection is the real-life figure (which Coven also felt free incorporate) Brigitte Höss, daughter of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss. Brigitte left Germany and was a model for Balenciaga in the 50s, before she set up an exclusive boutique in Washington D.C. Of course, this is all speculation based on a single word and Ryan Murphy's tendency to hide clues. [Hollywood Life]

Once Upon a Time

EP Eddy Kitsis hinted that Hook's going to have slow-going with Emma when the show returns, saying:

I mean, if someone knocked on your door wearing leather and guyliner and tried to kiss you…? He's lucky he didn't get a baseball bat to the head! Emma's a tough cookie when she has her memories. So without them, it's not going to an easy road for him.

Episode 18 will show a flashback to Cora's meeting with younger Leopold, so whatever actor out there can pass for a young Richard Schiff should get on that. This episode will also have Eva Bourne will reprise her role as the young Eva, Snow White's mother. [E! Online]

Teen Wolf

Episode 20, "Echo House," will show Stiles finding a reciprocated attraction "and more." [E! Online]

Extant

Grace Gummer (Newsroom) has been added to the cast as a regular. She'll play a partner in John's (Halle Berry's husband, played by Goran Visnjic) robot-building. [Entertainment Weekly]

Tomorrow People

An upcoming episode will show how John and Cara met. [E! Online]
