This couch by Fukawa Daigo looks more like a drawing than an actual piece of furniture, but it can actually hold a person's weight. It's part of a series of furniture made to look like scribbles in a notebook.


Fukawa created this series, titled "rough sketch products," for his 2013 senior thesis exhibition at Tokyo University of the Arts. You can see more pieces from the series at Spoon & Tamago, but the photo below, from Fukawa's Facebook page, helps dispel the illusion that they're nothing more than sketches:
