Die Beasties eskalieren den Copyrightbullshitstreit mit Goldieblox und klagen vor Gericht. Ich hatte eigentlich gehofft, dass die Episode mit der Entschuldigung der Toy-Produzenten, der Depublizierung des Clips und des Rückzugs der Klage aus der Welt geschafft sei, aber das Fass wird jetzt wohl doch nochmal aufgemacht. Tut nach wie vor ein bisschen weh, die Beasties in so ‘nem Urheberrechtsblödsinn mit ansehen zu müssen.
A copyright case between the Beastie Boys and toy maker GoldieBlox just got nastier: the rap group claims in a court filing that rewriting its “Girls” song for a video commercial does not count as “fair use,” and says GoldieBlox must hand over the profits it earned from using the song without permission.
