Deliver Us From Evil looks like your standard haunted horror movie. However, it has Eric Bana in it, so by law we are required to watch it. Because he is delightful. Behold Eric Bana versus... some ghosts?
Deliver Us from Evil doesn't really clarify what big bad they're chasing. However it does say that it was based on the true stories by NY police officer Ralph Sarchie (Bana's character). Sarchie co-authored the book Beware the Night with Lisa Collier Cool which sounds like a cop thriller meets exorcism story.
The film is released July 2nd, which is prime time movie watching so maybe the studio is really backing this movie from Sinister director Scott Derrickson? We'll be keeping our eyes on this one.
